Picasa Picture Simplicity

I have just found this great piece of software, simple to operate but packed with great features. It will organise your images and allow you to tag them even adding captions, when I downloaded it and it scanned my hard drive it found an image that I had essentially lost. It has some basic image fixes, links to online labs, backup CD's, slideshows and many other functions. Epson P-4500

Epson Japan have announced the P-4500 photo fine player, this comes quickly after the P-4000. It comes with more file support with files up to 30 megapixels and has  compact flash and SD slots, it has the same 80gb drive of the 4000 and a new processing engine. It also has improved video support no pricing details or when it will hit the European market yet.

Slides from digital files

If you want to produce slides there is an alternative to shooting film, use your digital file to transfer it to slide film . Several companies offer this service the quite well known one is Micro Quiz but now Cavendish Photography using the latest technology can create 35mm, medium format and 5ins x 4ins slides, transparencies, colour and B&W negatives from digital images at ultra-high resolution also offer this service. With a glass mounted slide conversion coming in at £2.25 it won't break the bank, they also claim to produce black & white without a problem. More...
