A snoot is a great accessory for your studio lighting equipment, it is designed to modify the light by concentrating it into a small area. often used as a hair light to light up the back of a models hair to give some definition and a rim light effect. It can also be used in combination with a honeycomb grid, the grid will soften the edge of the light and also stop any light spill, which can cause lens flare.
