A slave flash unit is a flash contained in a package that has an E27 edison screw fit and runs from the mains. We have 2 models of slave flash 45w and the 60w which has a variable power control that allows you to alter the amount of light the flash gives out.

It is a low cost way to build your studio flash kit or in fact add to it, the units contain a sync lead to connect to your camera and they also have a photo cell that will trigger the unit when another flash goes off. So it is possible to use your camera flash to trigger the slave flash. More…
