Using 5 x 105w compact fluorescent daylight balanced bulbs at 5400k in each head which gives out the equivalent of 420w of a normal household bulb, the way this is calculated is to multiply the starting wattage by 4 and this would apply to all of this type of bulb. Some companies will multiply the wattage by 5 times which makes it look like there equipment gives more power than it really does, so find out the wattage of the bulbs they are using and do your own calculation, some of these companies are not small ones either.

In the Supersoftbox 5 kits go up to a three headed kit, the 2 head kit and 3 head kits are suitable for full length portraits and for video lighting quite a big scene, on the back is 2 switches to allow 3 bulbs to be lit or 2 bulbs to be lit, the will also work with not all the bulbs in place.

This is an Ezy up umbrella softbox 70 x 70cm and erects in seconds just like an umbrella, with a highly silvered interior to reflect the light.

It has plastic ribs which helps to make it very lightweight so very easy to transport, there is a zipped section which allows the flash head to be enclosed in the softbox. This allows the flash to be used faced forward or faced back, we include a flash bracket adapter that can be adjusted to get the correct angle and this can be attached to a light stand or a tripod.

Another important feature is the inclusion of an L bracket, this allows the flash to be positioned near the centre for maximum reflection, most of this type of softbox do not include this item meaning the flash head is off centre and not getting the maximum out of the softbox. It all comes housed in a neat canvas bag that keeps all the components together.

This is a very portable boom arm not only that it can be a 4 metre lightstand I can’t believe anyone needs one as big as that though. It has a softbag for the counter balance which means you dont have to cart around heavy counterbalance weights, just pop in a couple of bottled water containers filled with water, when the shoot is over just empty the water out and you have saved all that weight.

The multiclip is two clips joined together with a metal rod, this is used to attach flags to lighting heads, no not that sort of flag. Also called french flag the purpose is to block light from spilling onto things that you don’t want lit. So a piece of black card will do and the multiclip allows you to position it for the greatest effect to block light from effecting the camera or the background or part of the image you are creating. The Next clip we have is a Backdrop Clip it does what is says on the tin it holds fabric back drops without damage, it grips the fabric between two plastic parts and cumulinates in a metal  quick release ring.
