This is a very portable boom arm not only that it can be a 4 metre lightstand I can’t believe anyone needs one as big as that though. It has a softbag for the counter balance which means you dont have to cart around heavy counterbalance weights, just pop in a couple of bottled water containers filled with water, when the shoot is over just empty the water out and you have saved all that weight.

The multiclip is two clips joined together with a metal rod, this is used to attach flags to lighting heads, no not that sort of flag. Also called french flag the purpose is to block light from spilling onto things that you don’t want lit. So a piece of black card will do and the multiclip allows you to position it for the greatest effect to block light from effecting the camera or the background or part of the image you are creating. The Next clip we have is a Backdrop Clip it does what is says on the tin it holds fabric back drops without damage, it grips the fabric between two plastic parts and cumulinates in a metal  quick release ring. If you need something stronger then the metal Gorilla Clamp is what you want, with a powerful spring  the jaws are rubber lined to prevent damage to what your clamping to. If you have any studio lighting whether it be studio flash or video lighting you will need somewhere to store it and you may need to take it to different locations. Well the answer is a bag or case, this keeps it all in one place and is easily transported.

We have a portable folding softbox for studio flash heads with speedrings to fit Bowens s type fit or Elinchrom.

The great thing about these is that they pack away into a small bag and take up very little room so are very portable, unlike conventional softboxes with rods, speedring and cover to contend with and can take some time to erect very frustrating when you are in a hurry.

Take the portable folding softbox out of the bag and the softbox springs open, fit the speedring attach the diffusers and you are ready to go in a few seconds, it is just as easy and fast to pack away .

A good size 80cm x 80cm and has a detachable internal diffuser and of course an outer diffuser also removable. It can be used in conjunction with our strobist adapters so that speedlights can be used with it.

We do also have conventional softboxes and some with grids.

With 5 x 105 watt daylight compact fluorescent bulbs 5400k CRI of 90 gives the equivalent of over 2000 watts of a tungsten bulb per head, they are switched on the back to allow a lower power setting either 3 bulbs on or 2 bulbs on.

Using a softbox of 60 x 80cm it uses 4 rods to secure it to the head and it has an outer diffuser, the head can be used without the softbox and has the facility to use an umbrella. There is a handle on the back of the head to allow easy positioning.

These kits are ideal for still photography and for video lighting.
